Midagon and Kontract AB (now Midagon Sweden) join forces to build a Nordic leader in independent business and IT transformation

Midagon Oy and Kontract AB (now Midagon Sweden) will join forces by the end of 2022 and together aim to become a Nordic leader in independent business and IT consulting. Together we can support organisations even better in their challenging transformations and provide a more integrated service to our clients operating across the Nordics.

Kontract is an independent IT transformation partner aiming to be the most trusted partner to drive meaningful change in a digital world. Kontract´s independence and technology agnostic approach enables it to take a true client first approach when helping to resolve complex client transformations. Kontract was founded in 2006 and employs 70 people.

Responding to strong demand for independent and objective consulting across the Nordics

Together, Midagon and Kontract identify a place in the market and strong demand for experienced and objective consultants who are on the clients’ side of the table, helping them succeed in transformation projects as leaders and specialists. There is also room for a company with a Nordic value base; a company that values work-life balance, strives for a humane culture and is humble and pragmatic.

As we join forces, we will combine and expand our service offering, skill-base and geographical coverage in order to serve our Nordic clients with broader shoulders. We aim to be the most client-oriented consulting company, as well as the best place to work for experienced transformation professionals and our growing team of more than 170 experts in Finland and Sweden.

The organisation will be linked by a group management team and board, with members from both countries. Daily operations and administrative positions will continue as before. In the future, we aim for further expansion in the Nordics.

Ilkka Töyrylä, CEO of Midagon, says: “With Kontract’s team, we see growing demand for experienced and objective project managers and experts helping clients succeed in their transformations. By joining forces, we can better support our Nordic clients both locally and across borders, and offer more meaningful challenges to our experts. I’m excited to begin this journey with our Swedish colleagues.”

Kristian Franzén, CEO and co-founder of Kontract, says: “Our values of independence and making a real difference for our clients have always been very important to us. Being the workplace where the best people in the industry want to work and grow together is also at the core of who we are. As I’ve got to know Midagon, I’ve been delighted to find another company with the very same values. It makes me both excited to be joining forces with them and confident that we can achieve fantastic things together.”
