Rainer Holm

My title is Executive Advisor, and I work mainly on assignments related to IT Management, like IT transformations, outsourcing arrangements, program management and coaching. Midagon is a unique collection of senior-level experts from several industries with great development, leadership, and technology skill sets. We have very similar ways of thinking, the same can-do attitude and a great atmosphere.

How did you start working at Midagon?

My first contact with Midagon took place somewhere around 2015. I was working as the Head of ICT Development at Neste, and Midagon’s Miikka Nieminen visited me to propose a solution for SAP-based process optimisation. I remember that there were about 15 employees at Midagon back then. This didn’t lead to any further discussions at the time.

Later, when I was working as the CIO at Municipality Finance, we requested Midagon’s proposal for a Program Manager for one of our development initiatives. When I decided to leave MuniFin, I identified Midagon as a potential employer as its offering matched my skills. After quite rapid discussions, we signed the agreement in March 2021, and I started in September 2021.

What do you like most about your work?

Midagon has great customers! Working with great companies and helping them succeed in their business is a privilege. Our customers have learned to trust Midagon as the partner for the most challenging transformations and projects. This provides us at Midagon great opportunities to prove our skills and continuously learn new ones. These topics are regularly within Midagon in our communities, a great forum for sharing knowledge and solving problems with the team.

Tell a little about yourself outside of work; how do you like to spend your time off?

Outside of work, I enjoy several sports, boating, and being with my two sons and friends. My favourite wintertime hobby is x-country skiing; in the summer, I like to play golf. I highly appreciate Midagon's work-life balance approach.
